Money-Saving Tips

  • Eat where locals eat, street food and local restaurants are a fraction of tourist-restaurant prices and often better.
  • Buy a multi-day Angkor pass (3-day or 7-day) if you're spending more than a day at the temples, the per-day cost drops sharply.
  • Share tuk-tuks and private drivers with other travelers when possible, day rates don't scale much with passenger count.
  • Bring small USD bills, see the Logistics guide for why.

These are rough planning ranges based on typical traveler spending, not quotes from any specific business. Actual costs vary by season, negotiation, and where you go. Roam Cambodia is not affiliated with any hotel, restaurant, or tour operator.
